Electricity connections grew from about 8.9 million in 2022 to more than 10 million — over 1.2 million new households switching on a light for the first time.
A further Sh27 billion has been secured under the Last Mile Connectivity Project to connect 280,000 additional households, targeting the transformers that were built but never connected to the homes around them.
